Ayr\u0131ca 2005 y\u0131l\u0131nda ANSI\/AHAM AC-1-2006, Amerikan Ulusal Standart Enstit\u00fcs\u00fc (ANSI) taraf\u0131ndan ulusal standart olarak kabul edilmi\u015ftir. CADR hava temizleme cihaz\u0131n\u0131n 0.1 ile 11 mikron (\u03bcm) aras\u0131nda bulunan duman, toz ve polen partik\u00fcllerini azaltma \u00f6zelli\u011fi olarak tariflenebilir. Daha basit\u00e7e a\u00e7\u0131klamak gerekirse CADR belirli bir zaman s\u00fcrecinde hava temizleyicinin oda havas\u0131na katt\u0131\u011f\u0131 temiz hava miktar\u0131na kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131k gelir.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Test i\u00e7in k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck, orta ve b\u00fcy\u00fck ebatl\u0131 partik\u00fclleri temsilen t\u00fct\u00fcn duman\u0131, ince toz ve ka\u011f\u0131t dut poleni kullan\u0131l\u0131r. ANSI-AHAM AC-1-2006 dok\u00fcman\u0131nda CADR, temizleme cihaz\u0131 \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131r durumdayken, test h\u00fccresindeki kirletici oran\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnden, cihaz kapal\u0131yken kirletici oran\u0131n\u0131n do\u011fal azalma oran\u0131n\u0131n \u00e7\u0131kart\u0131lmas\u0131yla elde edilen de\u011ferin test h\u00fccresinin hacmi (ft\u00b3) ile \u00e7arp\u0131m\u0131 olarak tan\u0131mlanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Test h\u00fccresinin ebatlar\u0131 10ft x12ft x8ft (3.2mx3.7mx2.4 m), hacmi ise 1008 ft\u00b3 (28.4 m\u00b3) olarak belirlenmi\u015ftir. Cihaz 20 dakika s\u00fcre ile \u00e7al\u0131\u015ft\u0131r\u0131ld\u0131ktan sonra \u00e7\u0131kan CADR de\u011feri kaydedilir. Bunlar i\u00e7erisinde d\u0131\u015f hava kaynakl\u0131 kirleticiler, d\u0131\u015far\u0131dan i\u00e7eriye ta\u015f\u0131nan partik\u00fcller, hayvanlar ya da k\u0131yafetler \u00fczerindeki partik\u00fcller ve ev i\u00e7erisindeki yemek pi\u015firme, sigara i\u00e7me gibi aktivitelerden kaynaklanan ev tozu say\u0131labilir.
