Dry rooms are needed for hygroscopic material handling and storage in pharmaceutical, automotive and other industries that need low dew point. Today, lithium and alternative battery manufacturers, which are the most sensitive to humidity, are constantly increasing the requirements of dry rooms in dry rooms. Dry room design includes many details and special requirements such as heat and moisture load calculations. A very small mistake made in the design can cause great damage and damage. 

Dry room elements;

The room should be created from metal panels. Stainless steel or galvanized surfaces ensure efficient operation of the room. The panels are also expected to be insulated and fire resistant.

Floor

Another requirement in dry rooms is an antistatic floor. The floor attracts free static charges, preventing damage to workers and equipment inside the room.

Door

Standard doors and emergency exit doors must be manufactured from the same material as the panel and mounted in a way that does not create leakage points.

Control and measuring elements

There should be control and measuring elements to detect, measure and control the dew point in the dry room. Thanks to these devices, the humidity situation in the room can be controlled without major deviations.

Dehumidification Unit

The dehumidifier rotor must be made of pH neutral and chemical resistant material. If the unit is to be used in the battery production facility, the rotor must not react with the gases generated during production.

Fan

Process dryer fans and reactivation fans should be selected as centrifugal fans. To reduce vibration and noise, fans must be installed with vibration-damping materials.

Condensing Unit

Condensing units should have air or water cooled semi-hermetic compressors. The units must have sight glasses, magnetic contactors, water regulation valves, suction line filters and control units that show the humidity status.
